1. They make money when you do, not before. A real management agency works on revenue share. If someone's asking for a setup fee, a monthly retainer, or a "coaching package" up front, that's not an agency, that's a course with better marketing. 2. They can show you the boring stuff. Ask to see how a chatting shift is logged. Ask who owns the account login and how payouts flow. A good agency has clear answers because they've done it a hundred times. A bad one gets vague and starts talking about "vibes" and "energy."
3. They say no. This one surprises people. The best agencies turn down most applicants — not to be exclusive for the sake of it, but because they only take creators they can genuinely grow. If an agency signs literally everyone, you're a number, not a client.
4. They protect you. Leak takedowns, geo-blocking, tight confidentiality, clear contracts you can actually read. Your income and your identity are the whole game. An agency that treats security as an afterthought will treat your money the same way.
